Envision your organised future

Have you ever used a vision board? It kind of gives us the ability to use the power of our mind even when not consciously working on things, I think that is quite amazing. Over the years I have worked with several vision boards and currently, there is one proudly framed on my wall.

An organised future pictures transform into reality

After observing my vision board, I found myself in an interesting conversation with a guest at my home. She had done a vision board when her house was falling apart around her and the only liveable space she had for herself, her husband and her newborn baby was pretty much a bed in the middle of the living room. She decided to create a vision board on how the house would look after the renovations. Fast forward the board went off the wall and was stored away,  she found the vision board after several months of renovations and was shocked to realise that she lived in the picture on her vision board, even the exact number of creamy white paint had been selected.

Create your own vision board for your organised future

Stories like these aren’t rare, so how can you use this skill for you and your organising and decluttering? You can make a vision board or visual diary, but you can also create a little box or special pouch with a selection of pictures of how you would like your space to look. You can add some smells, to give you another sense of what it will be like to be in the place. You can also add textures to the material that will be around you and be as creative as you like to be. This doesn’t only help with goal setting and creating a bigger mental space for changes to occur in relation to organising and decluttering. It will also feed the psychological, emotional, and tactile parts of you, which will help make your vision a reality. You see organising is not only putting things in pretty boxes - I would say utilise the mysteries of the mind for all it is worth.
