Simplify your bulky paperwork

We regularly talk about paperwork. My style of organising paperwork is in plain sight, which I don’t like as it looks messy but it works for me seeing I am very visual. If paperwork can be filed it is placed in filing drawers. I personally, don’t like folders at all as you have to hole-punch the paper and place it in the folder. Or worse, you need to place it in plastic sleeves, this is a lot of work and means that procrastination can set in with a vengeance.

Open-hanging file folders on the other hand are great, as they are open at the top and you just drop papers in the file. This of course only works when done in an organised fashion with clear labels and tabs to show the distinction between the types of papers you are keeping.

File folders and more

The world of physical paper can be overwhelming. In this course, I’ll walk you through it step-by-step.

The above system works well if you have a lot of small categories and paperwork is fairly complicated. However, if paperwork is simple and has big categories, it can become bulky, folders or files might not be sufficient.

A tool to simplify your bulky paperwork

Recently my paperwork changed for the better it became simpler and therefore my organising solution needed to reflect his. In my new endeavours to re-organise this, I found these solid plastic see-through A4 boxes in a folder shape.

They cost a few dollars and you will need a few but it really organises your files very well. I had some car paperwork, some reference material and have been able to fill around 10 of these boxes. They are further enhanced with a clear label. The result has been that my cupboard looks so organised, all my bulky paperwork is out of the way and ready to be picked up at any time. I can simple grab the appropriate folder and take what I need out of it. Or I can take the whole folder with me if needed it all at once.
